Automotive Specialties began in our mom and dads garage back in the late seventies. At that time, most of our business was paint work along with some light fabrication and welding. By 1981 our name was getting out and we began to build more race cars. In 1985, a decision was made to separate the two businesses and I sold my interest in Automotive Specialties to my brother Paul for $1.00. My good friend Dale Mudd and I started RaceFab in my 28' x 32' garage on Maple Street in Auburn. As my marriage dissolved in the late eighties, I moved the business and myself out to my brother's business in the hopes of making a go out of it. I quit my job and began building cars full time.

In 1992 we moved to Bay City, in the back of Rosebush Motorsports. By 1996, we had outgrown our location and moved back to Auburn where we were housed for seven years. In late 2002, my brother approached me about joining forces and building a motorsports facility. A deal was struck and we purchased our present facility in Freeland, MI. In April of 2004, Automotive Specialties took over RaceFab to further promote a better business. This left me with more time to dedicate my talents in the shop and to do R&D, instead of doing paperwork and answering phone calls.

Well here it is 2010 and guess what? Being partners in a family owned business just doesn't seem to work out. I've decided to change the name and take the chassis business back over.I will continue to build my record setting cars just like I always have and will strive to provide my customer the best and safest car possible.
